Oahu - New Green Turtles 02.03.10 - Two Green Sea Turtles Ring In The New Year As Ambassadors
Dolphin Quest Oahu (DQO) rings in 2010 with two new green sea turtles. As part of an ambassador program, the young turtles will help educate visitors about the endangered sea turtles’ plight. Known by the nicknames 44 and 51, the one-and-a-half-year-old siblings will soon receive Hawaiian names through a contest sponsored by The Kahala Hotel & Resort. READ MORE

10.1.09 – Dolphin Quest Oahu’s Eye Research Featured in Ellex ‘Eye to Eye’ Newsletter
Dolphin Quest Oahu (DQO) trainers teamed with ophthalmic sonographer Cynthia Kendall, veterinarian Gregg Levine and board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist Maya Yamagata to capture high-resolution ultrasound images of a normal dolphin eye. They used special ultrasound equipment to make it easier to see corneal thickness, iris anatomy, lens anatomy and the retina. Many of the images collected are some of the first documented in the field. READ MORE

The one-and-half-hour Kid’s Aquatic Adventure has it all. Dolphin Quest Oahu’s favorite children’s program features new activities and classic favorites. From sea turtles and stingrays to dolphins and tropical fish, children ages five to 10 years old will enjoy interactive activities that explore the anatomy, lifestyle and habitats of aquatic animals.
